Trevor Greene, President
Dr. Trevor Greene is the founder and president of the Howard County Jewish Advocacy Group (HoCoJAG). A practicing dentist and small business owner in Odenton, Dr. Greene brings his professional experience and community leadership to the organization. A lifelong Howard County resident, he graduated from Hammond High School and the University of Maryland. Passionate about combating antisemitism and building bridges of understanding, he works to ensure Jewish voices are heard and respected. Beyond advocacy, he enjoys cycling, history, and time with his wife and two sons. Dr. Greene is dedicated to strengthening Jewish life and protecting the broader community against hate.
David Albert, Vice President and Secretary
Originally from NYC and coming from the reform tradition, David and his family have lived in Howard County for nearly 25 years. David’s two children attended HCPSS K-12; he volunteered extensively at HCPSS and is a member of the HCPSS Community Advisory Council (CAC). David holds an MS in Computer Science from the Johns Hopkins University and a BS from the University of Maryland.
Fun fact: David was named after his great grandfather who was a Yiddish-speaking Cantor in tsarist Russia
Max Altmark, Treasurer
Max is a member of BOD, and brings both professional expertise and personal passion to his role. He is a CPA, and holds an MBA degree from the McDonough School of Business at Georgetown University, and a BS in Accounting from Towson University.
Max was born in Belarus. He is a grandson of holocaust survivors. Max’s family immigrated to Pikesville; he now resides with his family in Fulton.
Julie Kaplan, Communications
Julie Kaplan is a marketing executive with more than 25 years of experience building teams and driving growth for private equity–backed companies. She has a proven record of leading organizations through transformation, with expertise in demand generation, brand strategy, and revenue operations. Julie serves on the HoCoJAG Board of Directors, where she leads the communications committee.
Ilana Lowy, Visual Content and Communication
Ilana Lowy is a Maryland-based graphic designer specializing in branding, marketing, and surface pattern design since 2005. She began her career as a product designer for mass retailers before transitioning to freelance work, creating visuals for clients and local advocacy groups such as HoCoJAG. In Spring 2025, Ilana joined the HoCoJAG Board, where she leads the visual side of the organization’s content and communications. From her light-filled home studio—complete with SiriusXM playing and her dog at her feet—she brings ideas to life. Outside of design and Jewish advocacy, Ilana can be found cheering her kids at ballparks and soccer fields, volunteering at the local animal shelter, or unwinding with Bravo.
Donna Kasoff, Fundraising
Donna graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.A. in political science and earned her J.D. from University of Baltimore School of Law. Donna chose a career in corporate sales, including pharmaceuticals and media, followed by Jewish non-profit development. Her love for Israel is expressed through her current job as AIPAC’s Director of Development for the Baltimore region. Supporting the Jewish community as a volunteer has always been important to Donna. She has had several lay leadership roles in Jewish Howard County including fundraising, and is honored to help fundraise for HocoJAG. In her spare time, Donna enjoys reading, traveling, volunteering, exercising and puzzling.
Dr. Josh Bross, Membership
Dr. Josh Bross is a chiropractor and business owner in Howard County, Maryland. A lifelong resident, he attended Centennial High School and the University of Maryland, and remains deeply connected to the community. Dr. Bross is passionate about helping others live active, healthy lives and is committed to making a meaningful impact through his work and community involvement. He is deeply committed to supporting and protecting the Jewish community, both locally and beyond. Dr. Bross previously served on the board of the Jewish Federation of Howard County and remains active in efforts to combat antisemitism and strengthen Jewish communities. He also has a strong personal connection to Israel and is a dedicated supporter of its people and future. Outside of his professional life, Dr. Bross enjoys spending time with his wife and two children, supporting their sports activities, and working on his golf game.
