What Tuesday’s Primary Means for HoCoJAG

Tuesday’s primary election showed that HoCoJAG’s work is making a difference in Howard County. Over the past two years, HoCoJAG has built an engaged political community of members, volunteers, donors, and supporters. In this primary, that work mattered.

HoCoJAG members shared the voter guide, talked with friends and neighbors, volunteered, donated, and helped voters understand what was at stake. The result was clear: when the Jewish community organizes politically, we can have a real impact.

In the past 28 days, HoCoJAG’s social media posts were viewed more than 34,000 times, and our voter guide was shared hundreds of times. Candidates have already reached out seeking HoCoJAG’s support. The primary was not the finish line. HoCoJAG now turns to the General Election, including races for House of Delegates, State Senate, and County Council District 5.

We are also looking ahead to 2028, when all five Board of Education seats will be on the ballot. HoCoJAG will work to identify and support leaders who care about educational excellence, civil rights, school safety, and standing against antisemitism.

Two years ago, HoCoJAG was just an idea. Today, candidates seek our support, members are organizing, and our community is building lasting political power. Now the work continues.
